Where This Work Happens
Queens is home to one of the largest Chinese communities in New York, with concentrated demand for Mandarin and Cantonese speaking caregivers in Flushing, Elmhurst and Forest Hills. In Brooklyn, we regularly place caregivers in Sunset Park, one of the city's fastest-growing Chinese-American neighborhoods, as well as Bensonhurst and Sheepshead Bay. In Manhattan, assignments center around Chinatown and the Lower East Side, alongside the Upper East and West Sides. Nassau County openings cluster around Great Neck and New Hyde Park; Suffolk County assignments are more scattered, primarily around Melville, Huntington, Smithtown and Stony Brook.
Roles We're Hiring For
Home Health Aide (HHA)
Hands-on personal care — bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, safe transfers, meal prep and medication reminders. Requires active New York State HHA certification.
Personal Care Aide (PCA)
Daily living support: personal care, meal preparation, grocery shopping, light housekeeping and mobility assistance. Requires active New York State PCA certification.
Companion Caregiver
Conversation, supervision, meal prep and errand/appointment support for clients who are largely independent but benefit from steady company. Certification requirements vary by assignment.
Mandarin, Cantonese, or Both — Either Works
You don't need to speak both dialects, and you don't need to speak Chinese at all to apply — we hire caregivers of every background. But if you do speak Mandarin, Cantonese, or both, it matters more than a resume line: clients who can discuss their diet, their medications, or just their day in a familiar dialect tend to settle in with a new caregiver faster, and families notice the difference in how relaxed their parent or grandparent is during a visit. We match on dialect specifically where a family requests it — Mandarin-only speakers and Cantonese-only speakers are both regularly placed based on client preference.
Scheduling

How Hiring Works Here
Applications are reviewed in person — walk in Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. You'll meet with a recruiter who goes over your certifications, availability and dialect fluency, then our team verifies your documentation. From there, placement is based on location, schedule, experience and — where it matters to the client — language match. Most caregivers hear back with case options within one to two weeks of a completed file, though timing depends on current client volume.

Common Questions
Do I have to speak both Mandarin and Cantonese? No. Plenty of our caregivers speak only one, and we match based on what each client's family actually requests.
I don't speak Chinese at all — can I still apply? Yes. Language ability is one factor among several we consider; it's never a requirement to work with us.
Will every case put me with a Chinese-speaking client? Not necessarily. Assignments depend on your certification, location, availability and the needs of whichever clients are active at the time.
What if I want to stay close to Flushing or Sunset Park specifically? Tell your recruiter during the interview. We factor in geographic preference alongside everything else when matching cases, though we can't guarantee a specific neighborhood.
Are overnight or live-in cases actually available, or just advertised? Both come up regularly. Availability shifts with client volume, so ask your recruiter what's open the week you apply.
How fast is the process from application to first case? It depends on how quickly your documentation clears — typically one to two weeks once your file is complete, faster if you already hold current certification and a recent physical.
Do you require prior home care experience? No, though it helps. Every applicant is evaluated on their own certifications and background, not a strict experience minimum.
